NO C.S.A. SHARES
AT PAKEEN FARM THIS YEAR
WHAT IS A C.S.A.?
C.S.A. stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a creative agricultural business model in which farmers sell shares in their harvest directly to local customers before the growing season begins. Folks who purchase those shares are known as C.S.A. members. They collect their share of fresh produce every week for the duration of the season. Our first C.S.A. Shares were distributed in 2009.
In early 2023, we made the difficult decision to suspend our C.S.A. for the upcoming growing season. Every year presents new challenges at Pakeen, and unfortunately, our best path forward for 2023 meant that we needed to "take a break" from our C.S.A. We will miss seeing all of our CSA members at the farm every week!
