OUR LITTLE APPLE ORCHARD...not ready for visitors just yet!

In the spring of 2016, we began planting a modest orchard of Honeycrisp, Cortland, Macoun, and a dozen other apple varieties.  It was the beginning of an exciting journey for us!

Though we have a number of other apple trees scattered around Pakeen Farm, this orchard is our largest gathering of apple trees since the 1950s.

Learning how to grow great apples takes time!  We hope to share our first fruit from this planting as soon as possible.  In the meantime, each Fall Season we enjoy a variety of fresh New England apples, sourced from our favorite orchards.

Fresh Tastes of the Fall Harvest

Enjoy a variety of fresh apples, sweet cider and apple pies from some of our favorite New England orchards and bakers!

During our 2019 Fall Harvest Season, visitors loved "The Farmyard!"  It was a special open space where folks could view farm animals, ride our cow train, explore our mini-maze and check out Farmer Matt's giant pumpkin!  Alas, this part of Pakeen Farm has been closed since the summer of 2020, thanks to COVID-19 and the lingering disruptions to all of our lives.  We hope to revive The Farmyard someday.  Fingers crossed for 2025!
